The cloister of the Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune Church is the only one in Strasbourg that has been entirely preserved.
A haven of peace
A real haven of peace, yet so close to the hustle and bustle of the city centre: for me, it’s a peaceful, quiet, utterly soothing place.
I love it for its timeless, mystical side.
Occasionally, exhibitions, classical concerts, poetry readings or Christmas vigils are held here.
In fact, two Christmas concerts will be held here soon:
Saturday 30 November at 5 pm
Christmas with the Rhinwagges
Under the direction of their conductor Philippe Hechler, over the past few years, the Rhinwagges have mastered a varied Christmas repertoire, including lyrical, classical and lighter pieces. A performance to be (re)discovered!
No entry fee; collection.
Friday 13 December at 8 pm
Classical, Baroque and German-Italian repertoires will be showcased by Italian flautist Mario Notaristefano and German organist Andreas Dilles. Concert organised by the Istituto Italiano di Cultura and the Goethe-Institut of Strasbourg.
