During your visit you can admire settings as varied as the polar regions and the shores of Lake Tanganyika, not to mention rare or extinct animals, while at the same time appreciating the richness and fragility of Alsace’s wildlife or discovering the history of the museum thanks to Jean Hermann.
Every year, temporary exhibitions with widely varying themes (biology, health, the environment, etc) add extra life to the museum, providing scientific information specially adapted to visitors of all ages and abilities.
Discover the nature library, suitable for both very young children and adults.
Discovery workshops provide a great opportunity to observe the living world at first hand.

A living museum for everyone! A living museum, a museum for everyone! The Zoological Museum invites you to get close to the polar bear, the chimpanzee, the elephant seal and the walrus, the singing bird and the insect. You will explore endangered environments in Alsace: the Higher Vosges Mountains, the Rhine forest, the Ried. You will see the re-creation of an 18th century biology lab. The Museum also offers changing exhibitions, a library where you can relax and find information in a pleasant environment, activities and scientific workshops for young people.
