CONCERT & CONVENTION CENTRE AND EXHIBITION CENTRE

With its event complex comprising the Concert and Convention Centre and the new Exhibition Centre, Strasbourg is one of the most attractive cities, capable of hosting major conventions and events.

The Helloptimist support system attracts and provides assistance to organisers of events that target European and international audiences.
With the Concert and Convention Centre, Strasbourg Events enhances the attractiveness of Strasbourg by hosting major conventions relating to the competitive clusters Fibres-Energivie, Hydreos, Véhicule du Futur and Biovalley France. The goal is to sharpen Strasbourg's competitive edge on the European and international stage by hosting economic, institutional and cultural events.

In order to meet international standards and respond to the wide variety of conventions and exhibitions, Strasbourg has developed very high quality venues adapted to new technologies, such as the Concert and Convention Centre of Strasbourg (PMC), which was fully renovated in 2016. Its renovation has been accompanied by improvements to its energy performance (with the BBC label for the new parts and the THPE label for the existing parts).

The PMC is now a key venue for conventions and seminars in the Eurometropolis of Strasbourg.

This multi-purpose facility has a surface area of 45,000 sq. metres and includes:

• 3 auditoriums with 1,800, 1,200 and 500 seats, equipped with interpreting technology
• 23 committee rooms with capacities ranging from 20 to 440 people
• 10,000 sq. metres of exhibition area
• a dining area for up to 1,500 seated guests

all close to Strasbourg’s city centre.

EXHIBITION CENTRE

The new Exhibition Centre, with a total surface area of 25,000 sq. metres, was inaugurated during the European Fair in September 2022.

Designed by the architect Kengo Kuma, the new Exhibition Centre is a magnificent facility, both unique and modular in design. With its wood structures and glass windows in perfect symmetry with the Concert and Convention Centre, this event complex is capable of hosting several events at the same time, or of pooling the two facilities to host extra-large events.

Blending in perfectly in a huge area devoted to conferences, exhibitions and service sector activities, it meets demanding requirements concerning both functionality and sustainable development, with its attractive aesthetic features ensuring that it helps further enhance Strasbourg’s image as an international metropolitan area. It will feature 5 halls and a car park with 1,000 spaces.

Travelling to the 2 sites:

• 200 m from a motorway exit on the A 35 and the German motorway (A5).
• 15 minutes from Strasbourg International Airport. Shuttle trains operating to and from the airport and Strasbourg city centre with a journey time of just 9 minutes!
• Direct access (12 minutes) to the TGV high-speed railway station (bus line H), 7 minutes from the city centre (direct services from the Concert & Convention Centre and the Exhibition Centre / Wacken, Lycée Kléber and European Parliament stops: tram lines B or E).
• Parking garage with 857 spaces (opening in 2023).
