Held on the first weekend of September, the Potato Festival has been going strong for about ten years, and it has become famous well beyond the town limits.
Since 2015, it has been held for three days, from Friday to Sunday, and features lots of attractions, such as a night market, fairground amusements and a flea market on Sunday.
Two key events are held on Saturday evening: the potato peeling contest, which is always very competitive, and the election of Miss and Mr Vendenheim, to showcase beauty, grace and elegance.
