26 December (Boxing Day) is a public holiday in Alsace
Good Friday (before the Catholic Easter Sunday) and Boxing Day (26 December) are two public holidays given to the inhabitants of Alsace and Moselle in addition to other official French public holidays.
They were established by the order issued on 16 August 1892 in Strasbourg, under the organic industry law of the Third Reich.
